Being creative has a way of uncovering the most rooted areas of our lives that cause the deepest sorrows. Carrie believes that through creative expression and story telling these darkest areas of us can be illuminated with silver linings of hope, resilience, and joy.
Carrie’s approach is authentic, open, and provides the space to gain introspection in a fun atmosphere. In therapy, creative expression through art materials provides a way to see problems from a different perspective developing a more accepting mindset. There is no pressure in the art therapy room; Carrie meets you where you’re at with no judgment, simply providing guidance in your own journey to well being. She is passionate about helping you find the strengths and gifts that reside in you, encouraging confidence and self-compassion. Therapy provides a safe place with containment for you to better understand who you are, what your purpose is, and how you can live it out daily.
Carrie is currently working towards her dual master’s in Art Therapy and Adler Psychotherapy from Adler Graduate School. She is a member of the Minnesota Art Therapy Association and America Art Therapy Association. She received a Bachelor’s of Arts from Bethel University focused in painting, sculpture, and psychology.
