Sabrina Leung

Sabrina Leung, MA, LCAT, ATR-BC

Licensed Creative Arts Therapist, Board Certified – Registered Art Therapist

Sabrina (she/her) brings a person-centered and strengths-based perspective in working with her clients. She helps clients navigate life experiences with more confidence and fulfillment by using a compassionate and empowering approach. Whether someone is feeling stuck, overwhelmed, unfulfilled, or simply unsure of the direction their life is heading, Sabrina provides a nonjudgemental, open-minded, and safe space with splashes of humor and creativity. Tapping into other forms of expression—whether it’s drawing, painting, poetry, music, dance, comics, anime, or video games—can give voice to difficult lived experiences and help provide new perspectives and new ways to understand our past and present selves. Sabrina helps clients recognize and rediscover their innate strengths and values—and is interested in essentially what makes them tick. As a second-generation, Asian-American mental health advocate, therapist, and artist, understanding the impact of culture and subcultures on upbringing is an important part of her therapeutic work. She understands the importance of working with clients at their own pace and invites collaboration with her clients to create new narratives that spark more hope and meaning. She integrates cognitive, narrative, and art therapy with mindfulness techniques and tailors each session specific to each client’s unique needs.

Sabrina has worked with clients of all ages, but especially with children and families who are experiencing life struggles such as grief, loss, traumatic events, domestic and/or sexual violence, life transitions, depression, or anxiety; as well as those who are experiencing difficulties with bullying, socialization, focus and attention, and school-related challenges.

Sabrina Leung, MA, ATR-BC, is a board-certified Art Therapist with a master’s degree in Art Therapy working towards a LPCC. She is also a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist in the state of New York.
