Bio

With a background in acting and theater for social change, Chesa (she/her) aims to utilize the power of the expressive arts to help clients understand themselves and the world in a deeper, more profound way. She invites clients to come as they are and explore what it means to be their most authentic selves.

Using an integrated and collaborative approach of existential, multicultural, narrative, and person-centered therapy, she is genuinely curious to hear the stories and lived experiences of her clients. Counseling is a unique journey and Chesa views mental health and wellness as a holistic practice, understanding how the body and mind work together as a necessary part of any healing process.

Currently working towards getting licensed as an Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) from Northwestern University in Chicago, she is currently under the supervision of Caila Kritzeck (MA, LPCC, ATR). Upon graduation, she hopes to work as a Registered Drama Therapist (RDT) with adults struggling with life transitions, depression, anxiety, and trauma, along with communities and populations affected by the justice system.
