Nikki Witt, MA, LPCC, ATR-BC, ATCS
Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, and Board Certified Registered Art Therapist. Board-approved LPCC Supervisor, Art Therapy Clinical Supervisor, Certified Adaptive Internal Relational Network (AIR) Therapist and EMDR Trained.
Nikki (she/her) started making art to tell her story before she could talk. Most people did. She believes that everyone is an artist and has a story to tell. Nikki helps individuals reconnect with their inner creativity and curiosity in ways that come naturally for them. She helps individuals, regardless of their artistic ability, create meaning and gain insight, find relief from overwhelming emotions or trauma, resolve conflict and problems, enrich daily life, and achieve an increased sense of well-being.
Nikki’s approach is compassionate, egalitarian, trauma-informed, and relationally-oriented. She uses a competency-based approach to gently guide and facilitate an individual’s journey towards mental wellness and invites them to stand in their own strengths and values. Nikki’s practice is informed by polyvagal theory, brain development and neurology.
She values working with people from a variety of backgrounds and offers support with mindful multicultural respect and sensitivity. She is an ally of, and enjoys working with, LGBTQIA+ communities. She has experience working with anxiety, autism spectrum disorders, depression, childhood trauma, sexual abuse, grief and loss, bipolar, religious trauma, relationship concerns, substance abuse and recovery, and parent support. Her practice areas include individuals, adolescents and adults.
Nikki graduated from Adler Graduate School with a dual master’s in Art Therapy and Adlerian Psychotherapy in November of 2012. Nikki is a Board Certified Registered Art Therapist (ATR-BC), a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Board-approved LPCC and Art Therapy Clinical Supervisor, a Certified AIR Network Therapist, and a trained Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist.
