Bio

Art is to console those who are broken by life.

Anna (she/her) works with individuals, families, and couples. She is passionate about holding space for people to be their authentic selves and partnering on issues with a strength-based, collaborative approach. Anna brings empathy and a strong sense of humor to her work. Anna is very practical in her approach to therapy and ensures that discussions of strategies to keep moving forward on a short-term basis are woven into the larger therapeutic dialogue.

Anna has a special interest in working with adolescents and their families. She has significant experience working with adolescents who are in juvenile detention centers and group homes. She is passionate about empowering these clients and their families during and after this unique and challenging time. Anna is adept and experienced in advocating for her clients outside of the therapy session by collaborating with the client’s legal and outside care team.

Body positivity and acceptance are also very important to Anna. Prior to joining Art of Counseling as her practicum site, Anna worked since 2017 in several administrative roles at a large, national eating disorders treatment program.

Overall, Anna’s holistic approach to therapy, coupled with her passion for empowering clients and families, makes her a valuable ally in their journey toward healing and personal growth, regardless of their circumstances.

Anna is under the supervision of Heather Matson, LMFT, ATR-BC, ATCS.
