Kathy is passionate about all aspects of DBT such as mindfulness and emotional regulation skills. In her experience these skills help clients increase self-awareness and improve their ability to care for oneself and relationships, in order to live the life they want to live. Kathy takes a strength-based, person-centered approach which strives to create an accepting environment to feel safe exploring their next steps towards wellness. Kathy’s approach incorporates evidence based, trauma informed, body-based approaches that include parts work (Internal Family System) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). Kathy is open to working with people from a variety of backgrounds, cultures, abilities, and gender identities. Kathy is LGBTQAI+ affirmative.
Kathy enjoys doing outside activities like biking, camping and hiking. Kathy enjoys yoga, meditation, traveling, cooking and spending time with her husband, three adult children, dog and friends.
