Bio
Libby (they/she) approaches her work as a counseling intern with curiosity, compassion, and a deep respect for the complexity of each person’s story. She values creativity, authenticity, fairness, and kindness, and believes that healing often begins when people feel truly seen and understood. Libby strives to create a warm, nonjudgmental therapeutic space where clients can explore their experiences, identities, and emotions with honesty and curiosity.
Libby’s path toward counseling has been shaped by her work supporting neurodivergent individuals. She currently works as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), where she collaborates with children and families and supports the growth and development of youth with autism. This work has deepened her appreciation for neurodiversity and strengthened her commitment to meeting each person where they are with patience, flexibility, and respect for their unique ways of experiencing the world.
Creativity plays a central role in Libby’s life and therapeutic approach. As an artist, she is especially drawn to printmaking, a medium she appreciates for its layered process, experimentation, and balance between intention and discovery. Libby believes art can provide a powerful language for exploring emotions, identity, and lived experience—especially when words alone may feel limiting. When appropriate, she integrates art-based and expressive approaches into therapy to support reflection, insight, and personal meaning-making.
Outside of her clinical work, Libby finds grounding and joy in activities that allow her to connect with both creativity and nature. She enjoys climbing, hiking, baking, playing various video games, and spending time with her cat, Ries.
Libby approaches therapy as a collaborative process where clients are the experts of their own lives. She believes that healing happens through connection, creativity, and self-understanding, and she is passionate about helping clients explore their strengths, deepen their awareness, and move toward lives that feel more authentic and meaningful. Through curiosity, empathy, and creativity, Libby works to create a space where clients feel supported in exploring both vulnerability and resilience as they navigate life’s challenges and possibilities.
Currently working under the supervision of Taylor Osterud LPCC, ATR, MA.
