Frisco and Snowbell were two kittens born in a barn.  One day Mother Cat went out looking for food and did not come back.

So the siblings, who were worried, set out to the woods to look for her.

“Hoot, hoot… you look sad.” noticed an owl.

“We are looking for our mother and we are lost,” cried Frisco and Snowbell.

“You are welcome to stay with us in our tree,” proposed the owl.

So the kittens tried to climb the tree and only got half way. Snowbell fell knocking her and Frisco to the ground.

“Your home is too high for us to climb,” said Frisco.  So the kittens kept looking.

“Eek, eek… you look sad.” noticed the bat.

“We are looking for our mother and we are lost,” cried Frisco and Snowbell.

“You are welcome to eat bugs with us,” offered the bat.

So the kittens tried to eat a moth and giggled.

“The moth is too hairy and tickles my tongue,” laughed Snowbell. So the kittens kept looking.

“Bark, bark… you look sad.” smiled the otter.

“We are looking for our mother and we are lost,” cried Frisco and Snowbell.

“You are welcome to play in the water with us,” squealed the otter.

So the kittens put a paw in the water and shivered.

“The water is too cold and we do not know how to swim,” chattered Frisco. So the kittens kept looking.

“Chirp, chirp… you look sad.” observed the raccoon.

“We are looking for our mother and we are lost,” cried Frisco and Snowbell.

“You are welcome to rummage through the garbage for treasures with us,” offered the raccoon.

So the kittens helped rummage for treasure while plugging their noses.

“This garbage is too stinky and we have no way to carry our treasures,” said Snowbell. So the kittens kept looking.

“Purr, purr… Frisco? Snowbell? I have been looking for you,” cried Mother Cat.

“Mother!” shouted the siblings.

“I missed you so and I have great news,” said Mother Cat. “I found a home with this nice family,” explained Mother Cat.
